Developing the Next Generation of Leaders

We believe that leadership is about innovation and taking action. All participants of ICL-supported programs understand that inspiration and education should fuel a passionate response within each and every student. We support these students so that they not only have a strong commitment to others, but have the ability to be catalysts for change in their communities. In short, ICL students tangible results are what drive the organization. Students excel not just by getting into the college and universities of their dreams, but by being active and engaged citizens. Examples of student-driven initiatives include creating school composting programs, winter coat drives, building schools in developing countries, anti-gang education, collecting food and cooking nutritional meals for a soup kitchen, leading an NCAA championship tennis team, or fundraising to provide health care and to dig wells in villages halfway across the globe.

In dealing with world problems and challenges, young people are often missing from the table. The ICL brings youth to the table. And we give them, the tools with which they can help solve those problems.
